Radio Kootwijk was built to facilitate communications between the Netherlands and her East Indian colonies during the days of short wave radio. The masts are gone, but the main art deco style ‘Building A’ is now a national monument. It’s location in the otherwise empty landscape of the Veluwe adds to it’s dramatic appearance.

39x26 cm, oil on paper.
